Condolences
Bill was a fellow educator that I first met 48 years ago when the West Avenue School housed district wide 5th and 6th grades. Though I taught in the same building as Bill did at the West Avenue School for nine years and then Merton Williams School for ten years, I never had the opportunity to team with him until we both spent the last years of our careers at Northwood School. For the last 5 years of his teaching career, we teamed together and it was then that I learned what a true and complete professional he was. Bill was the complete package and his students found it easy to engage in learning in his classroom. My wife, Nancy, and I got to know Bill better not only when we were educators at Northwood School, but also following his and our retirements. We were also blessed to have both our daughter and our son as students in his classroom. Bill's absence is a huge loss for all who knew him well, but he will always live forever in our memories.
Our sincere condolences go out to his siblings and their families.

Bill was fantastic person, I only new him from the car enthusiasts side. He loved ALL cars and people at the Car Shows. A wealth of knowledge of all cars. RIP Mr. Iverson, see you on the other side.
This gifted, kind, charismatic man had so much more to give to the world. His loss is tragic and he will be mourned by so many. May we always carry him in our hearts and try to live by the shining example he set. Rest In Peace dear teacher.

It has been over 30 years since I was a student in Mr. Iveson's class and to this day, I know I am better for having him touch my life. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. He was one of the greats.
My sincere condolences to Mr. Iveson’s family and friends. My three children were so very fortunate and lucky to have this wonderful man as their 6th grade teacher. They were so happy in his classroom. I am thankful and grateful for the memories and for his dedication as a teacher. The best….

Looking back now, I realize that many of my teachers were truly great, but I didn't appreciate them as much as I should have at the time. There was however, a handful of teachers that I enjoyed being in their classes and genuinely believe that they helped build many of my interests and shaped some of my personality as it is today.
Mr. Iveson was one of those!
The enthusiasm, humor, and general demeanor of his educating is something amazing to have experienced! For those that don't know him, I am truly sorry for your loss. For those that do, I am thankful we share the bond to know what a great teacher truly is!
My condolences to family and friends.
Rest in peace Mr. Iveson and thank you...
My heart goes out to Bills family on this tragic loss. Bill was a wonderful man. A man loved by all who knew him. Going to car shows will NEVER be the same without seeing him there. I was fortunate enough to spend the day with him at the Apple Fest show just a few days before his fall. He gave me a Washington State license plate labeled PT CRUISER to go with my 06' PT. I will always cherish it along with my memories of Bill. RIP dear friend.
It's been over 50 years since I was a student in his classroom, yet if I made a list of my favorite teachers, Mr. Iveson would be on it. Thank you, and rest in peace.

My husband Dale and I met Bill in our driveway when he stopped to give Dale some license plates for the 1968 AMC AMX he saw in the driveway. Most people don't even know what that car is let alone have license plates for it. We became instant friends and feel like we have known Bill for years because he is just Bill. Actually, we found out that Bill's family and Dale's family lived very close to one another while they were growing up. We always ran into him at the local car shows and ended up spending quite a bit of time with him. We will miss seeing his smiling face and his quick wit and his genuine personality.
Mr Iveson was not only an amazing teacher and one of my favorites. But an amazing man! I will never forget his awesome stories, his jokes and his smile that greeted us everyday. He was also a great friend to my parents and kept in touch with them each year. We always looked forward to his Christmas letter to hear all the fun things he was getting into! He will be forever missed and always remembered!!
My sincere condolences to Bill's entire family. Our community has lost an educator, family friend, and a true gentleman. Bill has left his mark on all who knew him.
I had an instant memory of Bill at the car show in Hilton. My grandsons had told me at earlier car shows that Bill was an amazing teacher. They had the privilege of knowing him over a few years as a substitute. I can see him standing on the side street by his car, talking to the boys. Although I haven't known him for very long, I am greatly saddened and will send prayers to the family.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Bill. He substituted for us both many times and we always knew the kids were in the best hands! Bill was the most gentle soul and I enjoyed having conversations with him at work. He will always be remembered for his positive spirit, his love of learning, and the way he could connect with any group of students. Sending love to his family.
Bill was one of my favorite teachers as I was growing up, it saddens me to hear the news, my prayers to all the family curt trenholm ..1978
Mr. Iveson was my favorite teacher of all time. That seems like a small statement, however, because he was everyone's favorite. He reamains my daily inspiration in the 5th grade classroom that I teach. What a tremendous loss.
Mr Iveson was the best teacher I ever had. He had a way of making learning fun. He always had smiley faces on your papers. I always enjoyed his sense of humor. May he rest in peace. Fondly, Brenda Squier Plarr
My two sons had Mr Iverson. My sons and I consider him to be the finest teacher they ever had. Wonderful man and educator. We lived on West Avenue for many years and if we were outside, Bill would wave with a big hello as he was on one of his runs. We send our condolences to his family for their loss. -The Ashe Family
I’m so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Iveson. I had the pleasure of having him as my 6th grade teacher. He was such a kind man, who was so encouraging and positive. He was an influential man. I loved hearing of his stories all about Australia. His collections of all of his license plates, which he was so proud of. He will be remembered as an incredible man who touched so many children’s lives. Thank you for all that you taught me, may you Rest In Peace
I am saddened to hear about this loss. There is always one teacher who stands out and leaves a huge impact on our lives. Mr. Iveson was that teacher for me. He was a special human being with a giant heart. He will truly be missed.
So sorry to hear of his passing. He was one of my favorite teachers. May he rest in peace
