My most vivid memory of Carl was the day I was notified at the end of the school day of my dad's passing. I was trying to be so stoic (I still needed to walk my students to the bus). I fell apart when Carl came up to meet me on my walk back to my classroom. He opened his arms and let me cry. I will never forget his kindness in my moment of need. I am honored that I was able to teach with and learn from such a wonderful friend. I am so sorry for your loss.

It was my privilege to know and teach with Carl for many years. He was one of the experienced teachers I looked up to as a young teacher. I remember him as a dedicated sixth and fourth grade teacher. He was a leader in the elementary school as head teacher. Carl was always there for social events like bowling. He was a fun guy. I know I will remember him fondly. My sincere condolences.
