Obituary of Alice J. Kelly

Hilton - Alice J Kelly, 80 years of age, passed away on Monday afternoon, April 13, 2020 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home. 

Alice was born on May 11, 1939, the daughter of William and Mauriel Fisher. She grew up in Callicoon, NY and was a graduate of Delaware Valley Central. Alice received an Associates Degree in Advertising Design and Production at MVTI in Utica. Later in life, she completed her Bachelors Degree in Commercial Art at SUNY Brockport. 

While together with Brian Kelly, Alice worked along side with the family Myron, Lillian,  Bob, and Tina at the Kelly’s Apple Farm on Old Wilder Rd. She ran a small bakery business and was known for her old fashioned fried cakes. She also sold Zweigle hots and chili dogs from her hot dog truck. 


Alice dedicated 20 years to Kodak. Her work there began in the Administrations Department and then the Maintenance Department. She also worked in areas such as Personnel, Marketing, Telemarketing, Transportations and Calculating Commissions of the sales reps who sold Kodak copiers. 

Alice was fun loving and hard working. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family. Her interests were art, history, drawing, antiquing, craft shows and  tending to her gardens. She also enjoyed canning, especially pickled dilly green tomatoes. Her passion was painting with water color. She joined adult art classes and produced numerous masterpieces that she passed on to her family as gifts each holiday. 

Alice is survived by her sons and their wives, Dave (Trish) of Maple Hill NC, Dan (Georgia) of West Coxsackie, NY, Mike (Jackie) of Wayland,NY, Kyle (Laura) of Wellington,FL, her beloved 13 grandchildren, her 9 great grandchildren, her sister Irene Wright, her brothers Frederick (Barb) Fisher,  Arthur Fisher, her nieces Lorie (Chad) Shoemaker, Patty Sherman and Tom, Beth (Tim) Wolpert, and Sheri (James) Johnson. 

At this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no public calling hours or funeral services. Alice’s family will have a celebration of her life that will be announced later this summer. 


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Alice Kelly be made to The Brockport Foundation - Friends of the Art Department Fund, 350 New Campus Dr., Brockport, NY 14420.
