Obituary of Steven G. Plane
Greece: Steven G. Plane went from our arms to God's on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon & Helen Plane and his brother, David Plane. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; his children, Barbara (Eric) Knitis and Christopher Plane; his sister, Kimberly Swanson; his sisters-in-law, Vivian Plane and Mary Schwalb; his brother-in-law, Nicholas (Jacki) Schwalb; his grandchildren, Nicole Knitis, Gabby, Maggie, Anders & Sam Plane, and Alexandria Jay; and his granddogs, Riley, Robyn & Buddy.
Steve graduated from Charlotte High School, RIT and UB. He was a former member of the Coast Guard Reserves, B. Foreman Store Manager, Systems Analyst at Kodak and Citibank, Building Supervisor at the Y. Steve was Home School President, loved taking his Boy Scouts camping and organizing Hands Across the Border to meet Canadian Scouts. For the last 6 years, he was a Bingo Worker for Bishop Kearney. He loved trips to Disney with his grandkids, and did anything he could to make them happy. Steve was also a loyal Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orange fan. He will be remembered for the way he gave his all to any task, always did his best, and had a coupon for everything.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, April 29th from 2 - 5 p.m. at THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Avenue in Hilton. Steve's Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Cross Church on Monday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bishop Kearney Theatre Dept., 125 Kings Hwy. S., Rochester, NY 14617 in memory of Steve.
