I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that the Toal family and friends are feeling because of losing Jean recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief.
Psalm 34:18 You are in my prayers.
So sorry to hear we lost Jean. I so enjoyed talking with her while my Mom was at St. John's, and after. Jean was indeed fiercely independent, an admirable trait though some of us often worried about her. She had a great mind and a quick wit, and afternoons with her out front on nice days were totally enjoyable. Her family meant everything to her. I moved to Pennsylvania last year and will not be able to attend her service, but she will remain in my thoughts - for a long time. My sympathy to all her wonderful family.
Children are a reflection of their parents. I know that Jean was an amazing woman because of the daughter she raised, my brother's wife. Katie is an amazing wife who has made my brother happy since the day he met her. She is an incredible mother and grandmother. I know that she had to learn that from someone. I am sure that someone was Jean.
Katie and family my prayers go out to you as you mourn your loss.I know that she will live on in the hearts and lives who knew her best.
We are so sorry for your loss even though you know she is better off. Out thoughts are with you Jeremy and your whole family.
To the Toal Family:
I am so sorry to read of the passing of your Mom and Grandma. I didn't know her personally, but have been told she was a wonderful Mom and Grandma. God brought her home, and may she rest in eternal sleep. May God be with all of you and be with you in your sorrow. Amen.
