Obituary of June M. Vickers

June passed away on May 2, 2017 in Brockport, NY at age 87.  She formerly resided in Boron, California.  She was predeceased by her husband Virgil (2007) and brother Richard Sinclair (2017).  She is survived by her children, Terry Vickers & Deborah (Alex) Pietrzykowski; grandchildren, Chelsey Vickers, Joshua, Jessica & Jennah Pietrzykowski; & sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Sinclair & Margaret Williams.

Mrs. Vickers was a long-time school teacher for the Muroc Unified School District.  She was an avid gardener, bird watcher and a person of deep, tangible faith.  She was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years and was someone who loved and saw the best in people.  June was known for her smile, that brightened up a room, and her never ending optimism and gratitude.  She was surrounded and cared for at home by her family in her last days.

All are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday, May 8th at 6 PM at Brockport Free Methodist Church, 6787 Fourth Section Rd., Brockport, NY 14420.

There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, May 13th at NOON at the First Baptist Church of Boron, California, followed by Interment in East Kern Cemetery, Mojave, California.
