Condolences
Words could never express the great sorrow we feel for the loss of Mary. Never have we met a more caring, loving, sweet lady. She was a wonderful role model to her children, grandchildren and everyone with whom she came in contact. We will miss that smile that never faded. She loved the outdoors and we can't imagine never again seeing her in the yard, always hard at work and enjoying every minute of it. She was a good Christian who is now enjoying the reward of a life well lived. May God bless her and grant peace and comfort to her family.
My heart aches for Howard, Michele, and Scott, for this is their worst nightmare, loosing the matriarch of your family. Mary was not just my friend, but my teammate for "Burkes Hardware", the best women's softball team from the West. A league of their own had nothing on us, cuz we had Mary Burke Hueser on our team. She was our star, and will always be my star. Love you Mary; Happy Trails until we meet again.
Peace be with you all in this difficult time. Many found memories of Mary and Howard, They both we’re always very supportive of me, going back to when I delivered the news paper...
Howie, Michele & Scott,
So sorry to hear of Mary’s passing, I have great memories of volunteering on the Hamlin recreation commission with her!
I and my family were so fortunate to be touched by Mary's love so many times throughout my life, since before I even was old enough to know. I love you Mary.
I am very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. Our families were not only neighbors in the past but also dear friends. In the summer/spring time, you could always find Mary working so hard in her lawn keeping up on her flower beds and enjoying her time outdoors with her grandsons. I will always remember how you could always find her and Howie sitting together on their front porch and would wave to me as I beeped when I drove by. I last saw and spoke with Mary at her grandsons wrestling tournament where she was so proud and happy to be there cheering them on. Sending love, hugs and prayers to her family. She will be greatly missed.
I am at a loss for words.... I have known Mary since I was 5 and have so many wonderful memories. She was such a caring and generous person. She was always warm and welcoming to me when ever I would stay over night at sleepovers with her daughter Shelly. I will never be able to repay her for her kindness to my parents. She was the best next door neighbor my family could have asked for. She watched over my parents when we grew up and left the house to make our own homes. She was always there to help in any way she could. I know heaven rejoices and so does she, now she is in the perfect place. Love and prayers to her family.
Im at a loss for words. Mary was the best of the best. I remember being a young kid and she started subbing on my bus. She yelled at me for something (I know shocking) and I immediately made up my mind about her (it wasn't good) Over time she became frequent as a sub on our bus. One day I asked her as I looked out the window in my "assigned front seat" why she was driving our bus so much ..... She just smiled and said this was her new bus and that we would become friends lol. Well, she was right! I grew very fond of Mary and as I became older and had my own kids I saw her a lot around town and at St John's when I worked in the baby room. We talked a lot about our health issues (bad tummy problems) she always had the best advice and the best attitude. It rubbed off on me. She was always concerned for me and that meant a lot to me. I know we prayed for each other when we had to. I won't ever forget her gentle caring pure soul.
Howard Scott Michelle and family, my condolences on the loss of this beautiful lady. Hamlin will never be the same but I can assure you that she will be frequent from Heaven to here. I know the loss is huge . You gained a exceptional Angel. My prayers.
I and my family are deeply saddened to hear of Mary's passing. We will always hold our many laughs and memories of Mary in our hearts. She was always a trusted friend and terrific neighbor and part of our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Howard, Michelle, Rich and boys and Scott at this difficult time. May God continue to be with you & ease the grief in your hearts knowing Mary loved our Lord Jesus Christ.
So very sad to hear Mary had passed away. Over the years I had the pleasure of waiting on her and her friends often at restaurants in Hamlin. She always had a great smile and upbeat attitude. RIP Mary. Heartfelt condolences to you Howie and family. I send you a huge hug Howie. My best, Laura and Milt
Our family has known Mary for over 40 years. She was such an inspiration to me growing up when I attended St.John's and had my first experience playing basketball. By far one of the best coaches ever! She was a great mentor and I am honored to have known her. Whenever we would run into each other around town we would greet each other with a friendly "Hi Mare". So many will miss her kind, gentle personality and smile, including myself. It is very difficult to lose a special family member. May the wonderful memories help you through this difficult time.
Thoughts & prayers are with you.
