Obituary of Linda S. Sherwin

Hilton - Linda Sue (Haskins) Sherwin passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 8th, 2024. She was born on April 12th, 1943 to the late Donald A. and Dorothy (Bauman) Haskins. She was the younger sibling of the late Donald E. Haskins and the sister-in-law of the late Janet (Andolina) Haskins.

Linda graduated from high school in Portville, NY where she was an exemplary student. She had a keen interest and aptitude for the French horn and the Russian language. On October 30, 1965, she married her beloved husband, the late Bob Sherwin, in Portville.  Together, they moved to Rochester, where she worked for Taylor Instruments prior to raising her two sons, Robb and Michael, in Hilton, NY.  A devoted and caring mother, she enjoyed gardening, reading on her Kindle, and spending time with the folks in the Rochester Mopar club. She raised several sweet dogs in her life.

Linda is survived by her loving sons, Robb (Melissa) and Michael (Cynthia).  Her life was filled with laughter, and the joy that she brought to so many. She had many cross-country trips to visit her oldest son and daughter-in-law in Colorado. She lived her last years in the home she shared with Bob, alongside Michael and Cynthia. She recently received news that she was to be a grandmother for the first time.
