Obituary of Jean Marie Schofield

Hamlin / Brockport - Jean Marie Schofield (née Yockel), aged 67, passed away on June 29, 2024, in Rochester, New York. Born on December 9, 1956, in Rochester, NY, Jean was known for her feisty yet caring personality, deeply cherished by those around her. Her passion for music, dancing, and arts and crafts, particularly flower arranging, filled her life with joy and beauty, which she eagerly shared with her family and friends. Jean was always there to lend a helping hand, embodying a spirit of generosity and compassion.

Jean is survived by her son, Richard Kress; sisters, Linda Yockel Kinnard and Sharon (Chris) Schickler; brothers, Doug (Deb) Yockel, Tom (Deb) Yockel, RJ (Laurie) Yockel, Bill (Eileen) Yockel, and Tim Yockel; sisters-in-law, Susan Yockel, Marcia Yockel, and Mary Yockel; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marilyn (Acker) Yockel; and brothers, David Yockel and Gary Yockel.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 2-4 pm, followed by a service at 4 pm at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton, NY.
