I worked with Gary at Kodak back in the early 70s. When both of us were attending SUNY Brockport and working the B-trick, we carpooled to work for a while. I never go by the house on East Avenue without thinking of him. All of you kids were quite young back then whoever was there always gave me a big greeting when I came to pick him up for work.
His sarcastic humor was wonderful. I remember when during his yearly performance review, his supervisor asked him where he saw himself in 5 years. Gary told me that he had replied with "rear gunner on the garbage truck". Knowing our supervisor, I couldn't stop laughing. Of course I don't think his boss thought much of the reply, but it was typical Gary.
Over the years as we went our separate ways, we lost touch but I will always remember the friendship we shared back then.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He was a great man.
