Obituary of William A. Howie Jr.

William A. Howie Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his parents, William Sr. and Agnes Clark Howie. He is survived by his former wife, Diane Howie; their daughter, Meredith Howie; and his brother, Steve (Mary) Howie.

After graduating from Hilton High School, Bill served in the US Army and then went on to work at Eastman Kodak Company as an engineer for 38 years. After retiring, he fulfilled his longtime dream of working and travelling with his favorite drum corps, Santa Clara Vanguard, driving their equipment trucks across the country for three seasons. In his spare time Bill enjoyed watching the Yankees and Bills, golfing with friends, travelling, listening to music, and spending time with his family and grandpups, Lucy and Charlie.  

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, November 17th from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue in Hilton, where William's Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Parma Union Cemetery on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m.
