Camille Marie Ward

1959-2023

Camille Marie Ward, 63, of Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023. She was born on November 9, 1959. Camille lived with her partner Demeterius Noble and her beloved pet cat Frisky. She was a strong and independent woman who lit up the room with her laugh and relished WWE wrestling. She also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, especially at the fish hatchery at Powder Mill Park.

She is survived by her brothers, Jim (Betty) and Daniel (Deborah) Ward; stepmother, Betty Jean Ward-Clement; stepbrothers, Mike, Dennis (Cathy), John (Kris), Tim (Melanie), and Kevin (Carol) Murphy; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father John William Ward, mother Eileen Marie (Neary) Ward, brother William Smith Ward, and stepsister Laura Jane Bryant.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton, followed by Camille's Graveside Service at 3:00 pm in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 7596 South Valley Road, Hammondsport, New York, 14840.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Strong Memorial Patient Fund (Donate - Friends of Strong - Strong Memorial Hospital - Rochester, NY - University of Rochester Medical Center) in memory of Camille Marie Ward. The family would like to acknowledge the Strong Memorial Care Team, Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Mount Morris, and Livingston County Hospice during Camille’s treatment and battle with brain cancer.
