My dearest Aunt, I will truly miss being able to pick up the phone and talk to you any time I have a question about health, our family history or just need your always willing listening heart! You were truly a 2nd mother to me my whole life and I will forever be grateful for all the times you were there for me through all my different stages of life. You were the rock, the constant one who always kept me grounded when my world was spinning out of control. You developed my love of music and playing the piano, singing and helped me get my 1st paying "gig" as choir director at your church in college. No matter what was going on your home was always open and I always felt welcome at Aunt Marcia's, I was doubly blessed to live so close to you after we moved back from FL in 7th grade til I went into the military. You always encouraged me in everything I did (that wasn't stupid, that is) and never made me feel judged for my bad decisions, just to get back up & go forward and don't make the same mistake! I never heard you complain about being in pain even though you were suffering for many years, that is a testament in itself. You always had a cheerful outlook and never seemed to get discouraged, no matter how life was treating you. I will always keep you in my heart and have so many "dachshund treasures" from you over the years it's impossible not to think of you everywhere I look! Goodbye for now, my sweet Aunt, I LOVETH THEE!
