Obituary of Timothy Andrew Hack

Timothy A. Hack, of Rochester NY, died unexpectedly at his home on 10 July 2018.  He was 59 years old, born in New York City on 27 August 1958 to James J. Hack, Sr. and Eileen Mary (née McCartney) Hack.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Tim attended Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, NY, and in 1980 completed a B.S. in Accounting from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.  He had been employed by a number of accounting and software development enterprises over the course of his professional career.  In more recent years he had embarked on developing a professional photography career, frequently volunteering his talents to local charitable activities, particularly those supporting veterans such as Vietnam Vets, the Wounded Warrior Project, and a variety of pet rescue agencies. 

He is survived by four siblings, James J. Hack of Knoxville, TN, Maryellen B. (Thomas) Horton of Wappingers Falls, NY, Kenneth F. (Marie) Hack of Rochester, NY, and Elizabeth A. (Thomas) Hamilton of Watertown, CT. He also leaves five nieces, Elizabeth, Emily, Meghan, Victoria, and Alyssa, and five nephews, Justin, Brendan, Christopher, Michael and Matthew on whom their uncle left a unique and indelible impression of a vibrant enthusiasm for what was to be an unfinished life.   

Obsequies were privately held where his ashes were scattered in a place that brought him great joy in the final years of his life.  The family is grateful for condolences but would prefer any other acknowledgements be made through donations to the charity of their choice.

A Memorial Service for Tim will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 1301 Vintage Lane in Greece on Wednesday, September 5th at 7 PM.
