Obituary of Loraine E. Bessell

Wylie, Texas – Formerly of Hilton, NY and Ottawa, Ontario, Canada -  Loraine E. Bessell left to join our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, at age 93, on December 16, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, William (1998) and by her parents, August and Bertha Pranschke. She is survived by her children, Anne Fenner, Mark (Rebecca) Bessell, Ruth Pritchett, and Beth (Dean) Valentine; by her grandchildren, Kelly (Virgil) Cross, Kyle Rogers, Casey Blue, and Chris Blue; and by her great-grandchildren, Kaylee Kosteff, Aiden Rogers and Tori Cross.

Loraine was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. She raised her family and resided for many years in Hilton, NY. In later years she resided in the Dallas, Texas area.  Loraine was a friend to all she met, was very active in her church, and loved to paint and decorate various arts and crafts. She had a true love for flowers and birds.

The family wishes to thank Garnet Hill Rehabilitation & Skilled Care and Heart To Heart Hospice Care, in Wylie Texas, for Loraine’s care in her final months.

The family will hold a private Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Trustee Fund, 158 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468 in Loraine's memory.
