To the Flanagan Family -- While I do not know your family personally, I do want to share a story with you that happened when I was doing the 1970 Census. I had your family. I arrived at your house and your parents were returning from a grocery shopping trip. I was invited to come into the kitchen to ask my questions - and went into the spotless kitchen - and started my little interview while they put groceries away. I might be mistaken about this, but I sort of recall that your father was a trick worker and was either going to work - or to sleep before the trick. At any rate I began asking about the family, and one, by one, by one, by one, by one and on it went. I was totally awestruck -- I could not believe my ears and one by one, I wrote down each name and birthdate. I left that house in disbelief as I thought about the mess I had left at home, with just two kids while I ran out to earn a few extra dollars. The story has made me smile for all those years.... So thank you for that -- and please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa.... what a legacy!
Sincerely,
Marilyn Koss Wright
