Obituary of Helen Ann Gears

North Chili - Helen Braun Gears passed away on April 7, 2021 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Gears in 1984, her son-in-law, Van Geisler, and her great-grandson, Colin. She is survived by her children, Charles (Jacqueline) Gears, Nancy Geisler, Douglas (Wanda) Gears; her grandchildren, Steven Gears, Melissa Majkut (Mark Champagne), Holly (Matt) Garvey, Tina (Scott) Ingham and Amanda Gears; her great-grandchildren, Alana Ingham and Michael Majkut; her extended step-family, Dawn Gears (and family), Kevin (Jacqueline) Gears, Deborah Gears Lowery (and family) and Colby Garvey; several nieces and nephews; and, her friends at Union Square.

Helen was full of life and always made her friends and family laugh. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, playing cards and watching classic movies. Helen met her husband while working at Kodak, and she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Friends are invited to call, following CDC guidelines, on Sunday, April 11th from 2-4 pm, at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton, where her Memorial Service will be held at 4 pm.
