My most heartfelt and sincerest condolences and sympathies to the entire family. Betty was a wonderful, positive, cheerful woman who simply adored her family and church. She was a quietly strong woman who was able to endure a lot, all while maintaining a positive attitude and putting her family and faith first. I met her son, Ryan, in kindergarten back in 1984 and we have remained close for the last 36 years. I have so many amazing memories at their home in Hamlin and Brockport over the years and consider them part of my family. Probably my favorite times were spent at their place in the Thousand Islands fishing, grilling and playing cards. I went up there almost every summer and sometimes would get a day or two to see Betty and Hugey. She made the best mac salad and deviled eggs. She loved playing games and was fiercely, but graciously, competitive. Her laugh was infectious and I loved being around her and her family. She will be greatly missed by many. My heart breaks for her family. Rest in peace, Betty. We love you.
