Obituary of Allan D. Blossom

On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, Allan D. Blossom, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 97.  He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Bernice (Ingraham); children, Christine Blossom (Dan Mills), Beverly (Chip) Compertore, Linda Blossom, Gregory Blossom; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.  
Allan was a life-long resident of Hilton.  He served with the U.S. Navy, in the Pacific, during WWII, was an active member of the Hilton Methodist Church, and a founding member of the Hilton Rotary.  He worked as the office manager at Klock Oil Company.  He was an avid bicyclist, golfer, skier, bowler and square dancer.  Allan and Bernice also instigated and coordinated construction of the wonderful wooden playground that was located at the Parma Town Hall.  
Allan was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Ethel and his siblings, Altha, George and Lyell.
Allan's Memorial Service will be held privately.
