Obituary of Robert J. Kennard

Robert J. Kennard passed away suddenly on February 1st 2020 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen (2018); and his parents, Gerald L. and Elsie Kennard. Bobby is survived by his children, Christin and Jason Kennard; brothers, Gerald R. Kennard, Douglas (Peggy Buckel) Kennard and Danny (Lona) Kennard; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobby grew up in Rochester where he met and married Maureen in 1970. They soon moved to Hilton where they raised their two children. Bobby worked at McAlpin Industries from 1970 until his retirement in 2010.

Bobby had many hobbies and interests. He shared many memorable days fishing with his children, brothers and nephews. On Saturday nights during the summer months you could find him with his family at Canandaigua dirt race track - eating hot dogs, sharing laughs and of course getting dirty. Bobby enjoyed playing a round of golf with his son, nephew and friends. Camping with his family at Hamlin and Lakeside beach parks were always a good time. His family would watch in amazement as he so patiently sat and fed the chipmunks.

Scratching off a winning lottery ticket would always put a smile on Bobby's face, but most important to Bobby was to make those around him who he loved dearly laugh and smile.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday September 16th from 4pm till 6pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, located at 735 East Ave. Hilton, NY 14468.  A Memorial Service in celebration of Bobby's life will follow calling, at 6:00 pm.
