Obituary of Bernhard Ruf

Rochester:  Bernhard Ruf passed away on March 20, 2018 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his wife, Emmeline; his parents, Karl & Mathilde; and his brothers, Hermann & Karl Ruf.  He is survived by his children, Walter (Zena) Ruf, Anita (Bill) Parkhurst, Josef (Eileen) Ruf & Herbert Ruf; also his companion, Erika Hofmann; his grandchildren, Melissa Parkhurst, Matthew (Ola) Ruf, Carissa Ruf, Lauren (Jason) Brizee, Brian (Christie) Ruf, Nathan Ruf, Kimberly Parkhurst & Angela Ruf; his great-grandchildren, Kailey Ruf & Connor Brizee.

Bernhard emigrated from Germany in 1956 and was a member of the Germania Singers and Donaudeutsche Verein. 

Friends may call Friday, March 23rd from 4 - 7 PM at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Avenue in Hilton.  A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church in Spencerport.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of choice in memory of Bernhard.
