Obituary of Charles Delos DePew

Charles Delos DePew of Ellettsville, Indiana died peacefully at the Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday, May 12, 2017. During his final days, he was supported by his wife, Mary;
his sister-in-law Betty Leverenz; brother-in-law, Gary and his wife Jackie. International friends and local friends were also with him during his two weeks in the hospital and Hospice House.
Charlie was born November 12, 1932 in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army (1953-1955) in Mannheim, Germany. He graduated in 1963 from the Wharton School of Finance.
He worked as a supervisor of fabrication with the General Electric Company in Philadelphia, PA.,Columbia, Maryland, and lastly Bloomington, Indiana. He retired in November,1995. He was a brother of Masonic Lodge of Philadelphia.
Charlie lived a wonderful life and especially loved the peace and tranquility of Bloomington, Indiana.
He leaves his wife, Mary Wolf DePew; his only brother, Don of Glenolden, PA; his two nephews and families, Don III and John Dean; sister-in-law, Betty Leverenz of Hamlin, NY; brother in law, Gary and his wife, Jackie of Nazareth, PA; & many nieces and nephews all over the U.S.
We are so grateful for all the prayers coming from our friends all over the world during Charlie's last days in the hospital and Hospice House. It really made the journey a very peaceful time for all of us.
A private family service will be held with the Thomas Burger Funeral Home in Hilton, NY on June 17, 2017.
Donations in his memory can be given to Hospice House, Bloomington, IN.
