Obituary of Robert Twentymon
Hilton: Robert “Bob Twentymon passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, August 26, 2016 at age 91. Born January 3, 1925, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Ellamae (Welch) Twentymon. Bob worked at Kodak for more than 21 years, although his passion was farming, and he spent most of his spare time working the land. In Parma, New York, Bob was a farming community icon, and people stopped at his roadside stand to purchase locally grown produce. He loved the land and worked hard every day of his life guided by the seasons and the harvest. He loved to play cards, enjoyed sulky races, and watching “The Bills. Bob also loved to dance, especially the jitterbug. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kathryn (Miller) Twentymon, along with his four children, Danny Twentymon of Parma, NY, Gary & Julie Twentymon of Hilton, NY, Robin & William Lawson of Garner, North Carolina, and Beth Heintz of Parma, NY; his 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Lawson, Ian Lawson, Brandon Twentymon, Cameron Twentymon, Erica Nessmith, Julie Twentymon & Chelsea Proctor; his 8 great-grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Radford; and his many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters, Alice (Twentymon) Rogers and Clara Bell (Twentymon) Stiles. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, August 30th from 4- 7 PM at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton, where a Service will be held at 7 PM after calling. A Private Interment will be held in Parma Union Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
