Obituary of Marlene Pearl Lacagnina

Marlene Pearl LaCagnina (1937 - 2016) passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her home in Orlando, Florida at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness. She was born to John and Pearl Leach in Rochester, New York on July 30, 1937. Marlene married Joseph LaCagnina in 1978. They were married for 25 wonderful years. Joseph preceded Marlene in death in 2002. Joe and Marlene moved to the Orlando area in 1985. She worked for Martin Marietta and was presently employed by Universal Studios where she worked for 25 years. Marlene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her sisters Jackie and Shirley and her brother John; her children, Cheryl, Carla, Sandra, Marcy, Maria and Albert; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Central in Marlene’s life was her family. She loved spending her free time with them shopping and was an avid collector of miniature shoe figurines. Marlene loved the occasional apple martini when getting together with friends and family for dinners. She loved the holidays and any time that the family got together to spend time with one another. Marlene will be dearly missed by her family and friends. They appreciate the outpouring of love and support they have received. A Memorial Service for Marlene was held Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 4:30-6:00p.m. at Family Funeral Care in Orlando.
