Obituary of George A. Blickwede
HILTON: George passed away on November 17, 2016 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; and his 3 siblings, Marilyn Schickler, Barbara and Lawrence Blickwede. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Jeffrey Gaudiosi) Kastner & Robert (Nicole) Blickwede; his step-children, Beth Durand & Michele Durand; his sister, Mary Castelein; his sister-in-law, Beverly (Terry) Achter; his son-in-law, Scott Kastner; his grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Danielle & Kayla; his step-grandchildren, Saffron, Sebastian, Danielle, Victoria & Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.
After 2 ½ years, his bride Patricia called him to Happy Hour. George proudly served his country on an island 3000 miles away from San Francisco during the “great battle at Huntington.� George never met a stranger, so please come to read from the Book of George and ask for the special remembrance card.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 22nd from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Church in Hilton. Interment will be held in Parma Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of George to Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642.
