Obituary of Michael Richard Groves

Groves, Michael R. "Dick" Hilton: May 13, 2015, age 82. Dick was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Leslie R. Groves (March 20, 2015). He is survived by his sons, Michael, Steven (Mavis) & Scott; granddaughters, Jennifer Groves & Elle Nash. Dick resided in Hilton for the last 50 years. A rugged outdoorsman, an avid conservationist, he was a lifetime member of the Northstar Sportsman Club. Dick was a Salesman by trade, a leader by birth, and a humanitarian by choice. His lifetime of volunteer service to Ducks Unlimited and as a Scoutmaster of Troop 245 in North Greece are but a few examples. He touched many lives in both his professional and personal life and will be sadly missed. The Good Lord called for Dick and Leslie this year within 54 days of each other and has been quite a shock to all of us. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4-6 at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Ave., Hilton, where his Service will be held at 6PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Greece Volunteer Ambulance, 867 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14612. Interment will be Private.
