Obituary of Raymond E. Hendershot sr.

Ray was a loving and hard working father, who enjoyed life as a Farmer, Carpenter and Bus Driver. He was a caring father and guide to his children. He was predeceased by his wives, Doris (Woodams) in 1968 and Helen (Rowley) in 1999. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Virginia Ritzenthaler. He is survived by his children, Raymond (Nancy) Hendershot, Jr., Shirley (Tom) Lester, Janet Hendershot and Ronald (Nancy) Hendershot; his brother, Edward “Bud� (Sylvia) Hendershot; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Margaret Hendershot; special friend, Glennys Paine; many nieces, nephews & friends. He was also predeceased by his brother, Leland, and his sisters, Marion Graupman, Mildred Voke, Evelyn Heise, Irene Hall & Leona Peck. A Celebration of Life Service to honor his rich 100 year life will be held on June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home in Hilton.
