Obituary of Claude C. Barclay

Hilton - Claude C. Barclay passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 92.  He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine "Jean" (1999); and his sisters, Grace Scott and Beth Barclay. 

He is survived by his stepchildren, Nancy and Charles Leport and Michael Whelehan; his grandchildren, Alison Tripp & Brian Zimmerman, Courtney & Randy Covard, Kevin & Mindy Whelehan and Greg & Margaret Whelehan; his great-grandchildren, Arianna Covard, Wyatt Covard, Michael Whelehan, Kallin Whelehan & Kamden Whelehan; his sister, Barbara Barclay; and his nieces, Carol Sears, Jane (Joe) Hayes, Sandy (Al) Kingsley, Gloria (Brad) Furnal and Janet Ober.

Claude owned his own Accounting Firm in Hilton.  He was a longtime treasurer for the Hilton Fire Department and a former Mason.  Claude also held the position of Parma Justice of the Peace for many years.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, April 19th from 4 - 7 PM at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Avenue in Hilton, where his Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 10:00 AM.  Burial will take place in Garland Cemetery following the Service
