Obituary of Phyllis Claire Hunt

Rochester - Phyllis Claire "Van Roo" Hunt passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Van Roo; and her brother-in-law, Henry Thiel. She is survived by her son, Don (Deb) Hunt; her brothers, Douglas (Tracy) Van Roo and Peter (Sandy) Van Roo; her sisters, Mary Ann (Dennis) Buckley, Donna Thiel, and Judy (Doug) Campbell; her grandchildren, Nate and Marissa; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly.

Phyllis was a food service employee for RIT for many years. She was a very gentle soul, witty and kind, and full of compassion towards all people. She was a hard worker and enjoyed reading, particularly fiction and biography novels. She loved following the activities of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
