James Derefinko was my grandfather, "Poppy" as we more fondly called him. One of my favorite memories was when he'd hook up the trailer to the back of his John Deere lawn mower and drive us kids around the yard. If you were lucky, he'd let you drive with him for a bit. He knew how to have fun with us.
