Obituary of David F. Andrews
Spencerport - David F. Andrews passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Marion; his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Robin (Jeff) Wright, her children, William (Julie) Baker, their children, Kassidy, Alexa, Kalena, Kaden, Shea; Scott (Kayleigh) Baker, their children, Landen, Aliyah, Christian; Nicole (Michael) Mammarello, their children, Michael Jr, Matthew, Mackenzie; Debbie (Bob) Chapin; Jennifer (Justin) Ocello, their child Reagan; Jessica (Rob) Alcorn, their children, Benjamin, Olivia, Amelia, Jaxson; Dr. Shannon Andrews, and Richard Andrews.
Before his career at Kodak, 8-year-old David was the publisher and ad salesman of his small local newssheet for his neighborhood on Oneta Road. He worked as a soda jerk at Klees Drug Store and for a short time at McCurdy's Department Store. David began working in Roll Coating at Eastman Kodak Company in the early 1960s. He retired from Eastman Kodak Co. in 1986 and later started his used tire business, Border Tire, Inc. When Marion came into his life, he was delighted to have her create a website to sell used tires all over the USA. The business operated for approx. 20 years. After ending that business in 2017, he began to work on his stamp collection in earnest. He loved the hunt for the one stamp he didn't have or a better-quality replacement one. Buying and selling stamps on eBay was a joy in his life. He loved the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse basketball. He enjoyed fishing on the Finger Lakes and Crowe Lake, especially for that elusive Muskie fish.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton, where his Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place in Parma Corners Cemetery on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 9:00 am.
