Obituary of Sharon M. Prince

Sharon M. Prince passed peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Prince Sr.; and her sisters, Sandra Young and Joy Ranney. She is survived by her children, Charles (Barbara) Prince Jr., Paula (Dale) Mattison, Dale F. Prince, Melody (Richard) Finn, Martha (Carl) Johnson, and Robert Prince; her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a postmaster for the US Postal Service in Hilton for many years. She was a Village of Hilton trustee, and a Parade Marshall as well as having been given the "Key to the Village of Hilton". She was the 2008 "Citizen of the Year" in Hilton, and a VFW member and trustee. Sharon was a devout Catholic, inspiring others with her generosity to many organizations and volunteer activities in the community. Sharon loved to travel and was fortunate to visit every continent, which included meeting the Pope when she spent time in the Holy Land. Cruises were among the other pastimes she enjoyed.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, December 20th from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home. Sharon's Funeral Mass will take place at St. Leo the Great Church in Hilton at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21st. Interment will follow the Mass in Parma Union Cemetery.
