Obituary of Carol M. Hankey
Hilton - Carol M. Hankey, age 83, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2023 surrounded by family, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Gene H. Hankey and her son, Thomas H. Hankey. She is survived by her loving children, James (Margaret) Hankey and Donna Scorse; her daughter-in-law, Julia Hankey; her grandchildren, Michele (Kurt) Hutchinson, Harry (Kristy) Scorse, Charles Jr. (Sierra) Scorse, Katie Wade, Jessica (David) Ouellette, and Matthew Hankey; her great-grandchildren - Brexton, Emma, & Maytum Hutchinson, Evelyn & Maggie Scorse, Henry & Gracie Wade, and Hunter Ouellette; and her brother, David Henchen. Carol was also predeceased by her brother, Robert; her sister, Diane; her brother-in-law, George Hankey; and her sister-in-law, Anna Clark.
Carol retired after 25 years of driving school bus for Brockport School District. She loved taking her RV to Florida, and enjoyed all the years she spent snowmobiling in Osceola and Redfield. She was also a QVC shopper. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving person and a strong, courageous lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 17th from 10 AM - 12 noon at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton, followed by Carol's Entombment at 1 PM at The Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14612.
