Obituary of Ronald J. Peterson

Rochester - Dr. Ronald J. Peterson, DDS of West Irondequoit and Henderson Harbor, died peacefully on Sunday, April 2,2023, at the age of 88, with family by his side. Beloved husband, father, brother, father-in-law, grandfather, and friend will be deeply missed and remembered by all.  Survived by his wife of 65 years, Cordelia R. Peterson, his soulmate, the love of his life, and his forever bride. The life they built together will be cherished and stories will be told for years to come  Also survived by his sons, David Peterson, John (Debbie) Peterson DDS, and Ronald (Buffy) Peterson; his brother, Robert (Mary Ellen Derry) Peterson; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Tara, Alec, Michael-Ann, Morgan, Taylor, Kylee and Rayne.  Ronald was predeceased by his parents, John and Frances Peterson.

Dr. Ronald J. Peterson, owned his own Dentistry practice in Irondequoit.  He was active in the 7th District Dental Society until his retirement in 1999.   Ronald had a love of music and played the clarinet throughout his life, most recently until about 10 years ago.  In his leisure, he loved to read, spend time on the yard, fish, host neighborhood cocktail hour, and impress with his infamous humor.

Services and Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
