Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James "Jim" Rector; her children, Jim R. (Carole) Rector Jr., Karen (Ed) Haight, Cheryl (Brian) Kelley, Brenda (Brien) Holley, and José "Joe" Rector; her grandchildren, Richard (Laura) Rector, Dawn (Dustin) Payne, Josh (Katie) Rector, Jordan (Leesa) Rector, Melissa (Dan) Schultz, Heather (Jeff) Klusek, Bethanne (Sam) Hudson, Josh Kelley, Jeremy Rector, Adin Rector, Crystal Martin, and Stephen Martin; her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Noah, Luke, Libby, Addy, Lyra, Auron, Senai, Avery, Roland, Calvin, Addison, Charlotte, Ben, and Leo; her brother, Gary Lambert; her sisters-in-law, Lois Lambert and Diane Gunter; and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a homemaker who delighted in raising her 5 children. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing sports, and square dancing with Jim. She liked the color purple, roses, cardinals, and some of her favorite foods included spaghetti (at Olive Garden), bologna and cheese, salt and tomatoes, and butter (there is an interesting story involving a pancake house and butter). Phyllis enjoyed listening to country and Gospel music, and enjoyed taking drives to the lake and visiting Letchworth State Park. She loved to read, especially God's Word. Her favorite verse was from Isaiah 40:31: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." She and her hugs will be missed by her many family members and friends.
