Obituary of Boyd Carl Shaffer

Boyd Carl Shaffer, born in Barberton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 66.  He was predeceased by his mother and father, Carl & Betty Shaffer; his brother, Donald Shaffer; his brother-in-law, Donald R. Lowry; and his nephews, Scott & Gregory Lowry.

Boyd is survived by his sister, Donna Lowry; his nephews, Jeffrey (Susan) Lowry and Charles (Darlene) Lowry; his grand-nieces, Samantha Lowry, Jacqueline Lowry and Katherine (Joseph) Valponi; his great-grand-nephew, Leo Valponi; his sister-in-law, Norma Shaffer; and his many cousins, nieces & nephews.

Boyd worked at Lifetime Asisstance, Inc. at LAICO Industries.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 14th from 5 - 7 PM at THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468.  Boyd's Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at Brockport United Methodist Church, 92 Main St., Brockport, NY 14420, followed by a luncheon at the Morgan Manning House, 151 Main Street S., Brockport, NY 14420.

Boyd will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron, Ohio (2580 Romig Road, Akron, OH 44320) on Thursday, August 16th at 1:00 PM.
