Obituary of Carol J. Maier

Spencerport - Carol J. Maier passed away on June 29, 2022 at the age of 88.  She is survived by her husband, Charlie H. Maier; her children, Doug (Penny) Smith, Randy (Karen) Smith, Todd Smith, Kim Bavis, and Barb Weegar; the Maier children, Marty (Regina) Maier, BJ (Mary) Maier, Ted Maier, Charlene (Kyle) Rath, Rich (Tammy) Maier, and Jerry (Cheryl) Maier; her 11 grandchildren, Kristin, Daniel, Dougie, Brandon, Trevor, Julie, Megan, Kellen, Ryan, Ashley and Mary; her 2 great-grandchildren, Rhiannon and Paige; the Maier grandchildren, Nichole, Jessica, Paige, Quinn (Jason), Sarah, Rachel, Joshua (Kayla), Yawen (Will), Adam (Lindsey), Katie (Travis), Jennifer (Stanley), and Michelle (Christopher); the Maier great-grandchildren, Ripley, Cassian, Scott, Sophia, Stella, Isabelle and Blakely.

Carol worked as a teller for Marine Midland Bank in her earlier years.  She enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, dancing and taking rides in the family car.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton.  Carol's Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St. John's Catholic Church in Spencerport at 10:00 am.  Interment in Fairfield Cemetery in Spencerport.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aurora House, 2495 South Union Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 or to The Abbey of the Genesee, 3258 River Road, Piffard, NY 14533 in Carol's memory.
