Obituary of Laurie A. Wurtz

Hamlin – Laurie A. (Brown) Wurtz passed away on Sunday May 8, 2022 at the age of 63. She was predeceased by her parents, Loren and Patricia Brown. She is survived by her husband, Dale; her two sons, Loren (Mike) and Douglas (Kimberly); her younger brother, Bob (Wendy); her niece, Ashley; and her two grandchildren, Knox and Amelia.

Laurie Brown was a graduate of Hilton High School, class of 1976. She spent her career working at Eastman Kodak and Carestream Health as an Executive and Legal Assistant.

If you remember Laurie, she always knew the right thing to do and the right things to say to anyone who came to her, friend or family. She was always there with open arms and an open heart to talk and was always someone people turned to.

She was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed cooking for her family, making crafts for all seasons and holidays, visiting her grandkids, watching hockey on TV, swimming in her pool, and loving her Shih Tzu, Brady.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, May 14th from 2 - 4pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton. Laurie’s Memorial service will also be held on the same day at 4pm, at the same location.
