Obituary of Thomas J. Popowich

Hilton - Thomas J. Popowich passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 68.  He was predeceased by his parents, Stephen & Ruth Popowich and his brother, Glenn.  He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathi; his children, Robb Ball II and Shannon (Matt) Bianchi; his grandchildren, Madison Ball, and Donovan & Luciana Bianchi; his siblings, Bryan (Gail) Popowich and Cheryl (Gordon) Prince; his sister-in-law, Barbara Popowich; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Thomas was employed by General Railway Signal as a Computer Operator for 20 years.  He was also employed by Spencerport Central School District as a Maintenance Worker for another 20 years.  After his retirement he volunteered at Life Solutions of Hamlin, where he was eventually hired doing maintenance.  He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church.  He enjoyed furniture refinishing, refurbishing old board games, surfing "Craig's List", and mowing the lawn with his John Deere Mower. Thomas deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all. 

Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, Dec. 19, from 1-4 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Ave., Hilton.  Thomas' Funeral Mass will be on Monday, Dec. 20, at 10:00 am, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton.

 Interment to follow in Parma Union Cemetery.  

Please Note:  Masks are required at both visitation and Mass, even if vaccinated.
