Obituary of Edward F. Kimmel

Hilton - Edward F. "Eddie" Kimmel passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 72.  He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ginny Kimmel; and his sister, Sharon Viglino.  He is survived by his wife, Judy Baird Kimmel; his children, Jennifer (Tim) Claremont, and Jeff (Laura) Kimmel; his granddaughter, Emily Claremont; his brothers, Robert (Karen) Kimmel and Charles (Sue) Kimmel; his sister, Mary (John) Spain; his sister-in-law, Ann Hinkley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Eddie was a Bus Driver for the Hilton Central School District for over 20 years. He grew up working side by side with his parents and siblings on the family farm.  He enjoyed mowing the lawn and doing yard work.  He also loved to play cards and games and visit the Batavia Casino.  He enjoyed traveling in his motorhome to many places and in his down-time, like to watch westerns like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, the Wagon Train and anything John Wayne.  He was an all-around great guy and will be missed by many.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton, where Eddie's Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:00 am.  Interment will be in Parma Union Cemetery.
