Obituary of George W. Rohde

Rochester - George W. Rohde passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on August 4, 2021 at the age of 89.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marietta Hyde Rohde; his daughters, Carolyn Martin and Carla Padovani, and his son, Kurt Rohde; his 6 grandchildren, Lauren (Tom) Mauro, Jeffrey (Sara) Casserino, Gregory (Sarah) Casserino, Andre Padovani, Quinn Padovani and Leah Padovani; his 3 wonderful great-grandchildren, Kailey and Paige Mauro and Jio Casserino; he also leaves his sister, Jean Burke; and his brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Lois) Hyde; and many nieces and nephews.

George was born in Gloversville, New York and grew up in Schenectady, New York.  After high school, he attended and graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy.  He and Marietta were married in 1956 and moved to Rochester, where he was employed by Rochester General Hospital.  He soon joined Dewey Avenue Pharmacy and spent most of his career there.

George's Funeral Service will be Sunday, August 8, at 2:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 158 East Ave, Hilton, NY 14468.  Private Interment in Parma Union Cemetery.
