Obituary of John L. Fitzgerald

Hilton - John L. Fitzgerald passed away on July 31, 2021 at the age of 92.  He is survived by his wife, Fern; his children, Susan (Peter) Furgiuele, Daniel (Deborah) Fitzgerald, Karen (Paul) Fry; Fern's children, Dianne Rodrigue-Madore, Suzanne (Gary) Bunce, Michelle Lippa; his grandchildren April (Shawn) Diehl, Sarah (Michael) DeFranco, Samantha Cseplo (Brandon DeBaere), Colleen (Eric) Ignatowski, Ryan Fitzgerald, Eric (Shawna) Benson, John-Paul Benson, Nicholas (Emily) Bunce, Jacob (Natalie) Bunce, Julia (Zack) Melino, Phillip (Lauren) Lippa, Brianna Lippa, Paul Lippa; his great-grandchildren, Evelyn Diehl, Mason Diehl, Everitt Benson, Colton Benson, Carter Benson, Hayden Bunce and Camila Melino.

John was a Veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Aquinas Institute and went on to graduate from RIT. He retired after 36 years from Eastman Kodak Company. He enjoyed skeet shooting, boating, water sports, and leisure time at his cottage on Seneca Lake, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, August 5 from 4-6 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton. John's Graveside Service will be held privately at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612.
