Obituary of Barbara A. Peterson

Albion - Barbara A. "Bobbie" Peterson passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the age of 81.  She is survived by her husband, Charlie Peterson; her children, Kathy Peterson, David Peterson, Teri (Tom) Schiffhauer and Amy (Scott) Wilson; her 10 grandchildren, Rebecca, Matthew, Jessica, Peter, Christopher, Philip, Alexander, Amanda, Zachary & Katherine; her 11 great-grandchildren; and her several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Wood & Alan and Ronald Bryant.

In addition to raising a large family, Bobbie enjoyed quilting, gardening, birdwatching, and spending time with friends and family.  She loved to teach her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as children at BOCES where she worked as a teaching assistant for many years. Bobbie received great joy serving the church as a lay Eucharistic minister. Bobbie and Charlie’s home on the lake became the gathering spot for family and friends to create lasting memories of swimming, boating, fishing, and laughing.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Friday, June 15th at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 14 State St. in Brockport at 10 AM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  Donations may be made to St. Luke's, 14 State St., Brockport, NY 14420.
