Condolences
It is funny the things we remember. For my entire life “Mr. and Mrs. Nichols” (John and Donna) were among my parents’ large and close-knit group of friends. John was always mild mannered and sweetly funny. Donna was lively with a boisterous laugh. I vividly remember deer spotting one evening, with a carload of kids, all eating ice cream cones. One by one we handed our treats to “Mr. Nichols” to pack the ice cream down into our cones…with his tongue! We thought he had a special skill, a gift even, though he was probably just satisfying his notorious sweet tooth and trying to keep his upholstery clean. My most recent memory is of him tenderly holding my mother’s hand. John had a lovely way of being. He brought kindness, humor and joy into my mother’s life and the lives of his family and friends. He leaves behind many happy memories.
John was the special friend of our dear Rita and we were so sad to learn of his passing. We talked often and he always had a laugh to share. His upbeat attitude in the face of his illness was inspiring. We will miss him and his beautiful spirit. God bless.
A man who always smiled, had a joke and never in a bad mood. He loved his family and his work. Mr. Nichols you will never be forgotten. Your life will live on through your family. Jess please take good care of his boys and his beautiful granddaughters.
Oh my darling I miss you soo much but my ache is softened knowing your are no longer in pain and that you are rejoicing in the arms of your loved ones. I will always cherish the special years we had together and I look forward to the time when I too can be reunited with my loved ones.
Although we only knew"Jack" for the last 2 years, we became fast friends! His wit and humor were infectious. We looked forward to our visits with he and Rita. We will surely miss him. At least we have comfort in knowing he is now healed in heaven by our Heavenly Father.
