Obituary of Willard G. Symonds

Greece – Willard G. Symonds passed away on May 19, 2018 at the age of 91.  He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Dowden Symonds; his parents, Mary & Geoffrey Symonds; and his brothers, David and Victor.  He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Robert) Snell; his son, Wayne (Laurie) Symonds; his 7 grandchildren, Casey (Margaret) Symonds, Andrew (Alicia) Symonds, Kristen (Joe) Burress, David Snell, Holly (Nick) Canzano, Paul (Kaleigh) Snell and Carol Snell; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Whittier; brother, Brian; and several nieces & nephews. 

Willard was born in Kendall and grew up on his family’s farm.  He started working at Eastman Kodak at age 17 as a machinist.  He retired after 40 years there.  He enjoyed traveling, playing tennis and cards, building models, and playing with his grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 26 at 11 AM at Parma Christian Fellowship Church, 39 Hovey St., Hilton, NY.  Donations can be made in memory of Willard to Lifetime Hospice Care, 3111 S. Winton Rd., Rochester, NY 14623.
