Obituary of Merle Eldridge

Brockport:  Merle “Knobby” Eldridge passed away suddenly, on Saturday March 28, 2020 at the age of 84.  He was predeceased by his son, Micah; by his daughters-in-law, Brenda and Audrey; and by his 4 brothers, Richard, Churchill, David and Ervin.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean; his son, Luke; his grandchildren, Dillon and Makayla; his brothers, Adelbert and Earl (Cora) Eldridge; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Knobby was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing.  He was a former Kodak retiree.  He was owner of M. Eldridge and Son General Contractors.  He also worked as a Swain ski patroller for 35 years; and patrol director for 4 years.  Knobby enjoyed playing basketball, golf, traveling and working - he never retired!

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Knobby on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
