Debbie, Dyllan, and family,
Every single memory I have of Rich is a good one. Whether it was watching sports with him and Dyllan, riding along in his truck on the way to something fun, or even just sharing breakfast together—Mr. Smith was a genuine pleasure to be around. I thought I'd share a fun memory that still makes me laugh to this day:
As we all know, Rich was meticulous about his landscaping. His lawn always looked fantastic. I'll never forget the time that my mom accidentally drove off his driveway and left a huge dirt tread amongst a field of neatly-trimmed grass. The look on his face was priceless. He couldn't have been nicer with how he handled it, and we all ended up laughing afterward.
That's the kind of man Rich was. Even if things didn't always go as planned, he made the best of it. That's what he taught me, and I'm a better person for it. I'm proud and lucky to have known him.
A man with a true generous heart and spirit who helped me through many work issues during our time at Wedgewood. I will miss knowing he was a phone call away. Hugs and love to the family and know that I will never forget how he impacted my day to day work life with humor and knowledge and generosity.
Debbie, Dyllan & family,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone. Rich was such a gentle, kind man. Heaven has gained another angel and he will surely be missed on this earth.

Love and sincere condolences to Debbie and the family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers!!
Dear Richie,
My heart aches today for your family. You were a very generous man and I will never forget the acts of kindness shown by you towards my parents, when they were at Wedgewood, and more recently towards my sister Wendy, while she was going through her own battle. If only we knew earlier, the storm that was brewing inside of you...
May you rest in peace and may your family be comforted by the memories of you close to their hearts.
Love,
Francine Spronz
