This virtual candle will never shine nor create a light as bright as you. From your infectious laugh to your enthusiastic “JEEZ!” like Grandpa, you’ve left a legacy of kindness and zest for life in your footprints. You set a standard for “Great Father, Great Husband, Great Friend” which will be hard to match for many.
I’ll never forget you taking me to the airport in your three cylinder car and explaining how the necessity for four cylinders is overrated. Our walks on the pier to Char-lot and onion rings at Friendly’s were always memorable, and your patience putting up with some of the music we chose on these trips was exhaustive. Thank you for taking the boys (and me!) on the dragon ride at Sea Breeze and insisting we all put our hands AND feet up to get a better ride and for the thousands of rides on Jack Rabbit and Bumper Cars which will never be the same without your laughter over the sound of the screeching and crashing. You and Aunt Debbie were like surrogate parents to Lisa and me over our summers there and we will love and cherish those memories forever. Rest in eternal peace and sunshine. Give Mikey, Baba and Grandpa a smooch for me.
