Condolences
Will never forget the time almost 50 years ago, Steve's Parents took him to Fenway Park in Boston and maybe he would meet his Hero, Carl Yaztremski..Steves favorite. What got us that fateful day in Boston Common, I bumped into Steve and his Parents. What a small world! Steve was like 10 years old at the time, that shows how smart he was...HE said what a small world, I didn't even know what it meant. Now that I know, what happened that day is almost amazing. What are the chances of bumping into each other in a big city like that! Steve LOVED the Red Sox and of course I did. May he rest in Peace! Jim and Gail London

With my heartfelt sympathy to Janice and family for the loss of a loving husband, father and grandfather. Steven and I were SMSD classmates since toddler till our 1973 high school graduation and parted with our own life’s journey yet, we always have a special bond in our heart with lot of fondest memories of growing up during our school years that we cherish.
This rememberance video is very beautiful. It touched my heart to see one of the precious childhood picture of Steven, Adora and myself included. I always adore Steven’s special charm that certainly enhance the quality of his sweet personality. May his soul rest in peace in God’s paradise.

My condolences for your loss dear husband, dad, grandpa and my best friend Steven. He was prepared and ready with positive mentality to return to Heaven with God and his beloved parents, relatives, and friends. I am grateful for his unwavering friendship since we were classmate at age of 3. He taught me about sports including baseball and hockey. He was truly entertaining personality and good storyteller. He had had a amazed memory to share our remembrances--what a joy to listen with endless laughs. I will cherish him in my heart. Thank you. Steven. Let's go New York Yankees! (lol)
Dear Family of Steven DeBottis: it is with profound sorrow that I learned of the death of your beloved husband, father and family member. I have known Steven ever since when he was a little boy at St. Mary's School for the Deaf. I saw him playing football at Gallaudet University in mid-1970's and he loved his part in the football game. I have seen him grow and mature both intellectually and spiritually. He was an amazing man and I always enjoyed talking with him. He had taught me a lot and I am sorry to see him to go but at the same time I am grateful to God that his sufferings are all over now. He is enjoying his eternal rest with God and he will intercede for us while we continue to live on earth. May Steven rest in peace. Father Tom Coughlin
Steve was greatly blessed for being a very good leader in the deaf community. He is greatly missed. I know him very well through my late wife. I’m totally sure that the Lord praises for his excellent leadership activities.
My deepest condolences to Janice and her family.
Janice-
Our heavy heartful thoughts goes out to you, Janice and the whole family in this time of sorrow.
Sending my prayers and thoughts to his family. We both had so many memories to share while I was visiting at his house in Henrietta. I remembered him saying that he was so proud of being grandfather for the first born grandson.
I am so sad to hear this news. Steven and I shared so many good years of friendship. I had lost touch with him in the past 2 years, and my heart is so heavy. He was a wonderful leader in this community, a good friend, and I will miss him terribly. I am so sorry that his family has to endure this loss. But he is free of pain now and his presence will always be with us. He was a good man. A very good man.

Our deepest condolences for your loss of your dear husband, Steven, a wonderful father and an amazing Grandpa. I’m so glad I was able to see him last Sunday. He loved you all and I’m sure he’s looking down at you and watching over you. Rest assured, he’s not suffering anymore. He’s at peace with Jesus In a beautiful Paradise you could ever imagine. Always keep his memories alive in your minds and hearts. He was a good friend and a wonderful, dedicated leader for the Deaf Community. May he rest In an everlasting peace. God bless. With hugs.
I just found out that Steve is gone to meet the Lord. I am so thankful that I got to know him and enjoyed his great sense of humor and love for people. His concern for access for the Deaf community and open communication for all were the best parts of his leadership.
I am praying for you, his family. I know you will miss him.
