Obituary of Velma M. Speer

N. Greece, NY:  Velma Speer passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in her 95th year.  She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth in 2002.  She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Rebecca) Speer & Rodney (Wendy Pena) Speer; her 6 grandchildren, Carrie (Matthew) Kibby, Kellie Speer, Ryan (Lacey) Speer, Kevin, Matt & Lauren Speer; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister, Marlene (John) Mayer; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Speer & Jessie Kirby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Velma was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Friends are invited to call Sunday, September 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton.  Velma's Funeral Service will be Monday, September 11th (her birthday) at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Interment will follow the Service in Parma Union Cemetery.  Those wishing may contribute to St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund,158 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468 in her memory.
